*Felt weak. Some allergy sympthoms. Afraid to catch sickness. Itching to get on the track to do some good hard running, but must keep head cool. Not easy. Race on Thursday if I'm feeling OK.

Monday 29th of May

AM
Rest.

PM
*50 min easy running / walking warm-up with 6x 100 m strides in spikes.

*1x 300 at 42.5. / 10 min jog / 1x 200 m at 28.5 / 5 min jog / 1x 200 m at 27.8 / 15 min jog / 1x 300 m at 42.2 (all in spikes).

*50 min easy running / walking warm-down with 6x 150 m strides.

*Felt weak running to track (I train in Kaarina as the the field here in Turku is getting a new track – the Field in Kaarina is about 8K from my door).

*The strides felt OK once I got moving (after the second).

*The 300:s and 200:s – nothing special but not bad either. Didn’t push it - the point was to try running fast and relaxed, like the first lap of the 800 m. Relaxed but perhaps hurried. Wind against me on home straight.

*Getting home I was careful to not put anymore pressure on me than necessary.
Sunday 28th of May

AM
Rest.

PM
*70 min easy (slooow) running with Tommy.
*2x 150 m downhill strides.

*Felt OK. No sickness but I felt I should play it safe and not put pressure on me yet (I had some allergy/flu-related sickness in me on Saturday and it felt it might come back if I'd add too much pressure).

*The downhill strides opened up my legs after Thursdays session. Should have done more but felt like I’d have risked sickness if I did.
