*Need to keep head cool and not overdo training now. Just hammer the technique into my head so it stays there forever.

Sensible. It is easy to spoil something like this by overdoing it.

Interested in some thoughts about the run with Tommy. Did you feel his technique change at any point or did he seem stronger or more consistent in his running at any one pulse?

When you went onto the grass how was your speed and movement relative to his?

Hard to tell if Tommy is stronger one any particular stress area - he is just very fit in general and he is operating on pulse levels 10 beats (at least) lower than me. He is consistently strong over a broad register.

On grass I was having fun and tried to adapt my technique for different speeds - like leading the pack, suddenly kicking, letting them have a 5 meter headstart, etc. Sometimes I got it wrong and was my old self for a couple of seconds - working in the wrong direction and wasting energy trying to move legs fast instead of pushing with more power. It seems I can accelerate real fast without increasing speed of rhytm very much. I strongly believe that none of the boys could have beaten me on the grass but that's just my impression of things.

I'm not sure how I will perform in a race - right now I'm bristling with confidence and it's invitable that I will hit the ground as soon as it gets serious (or I'll if not - I'll be a real pain to be around), but question is still: how will I perform compared to so far, now when my running feels and looks 100 % better... Who knows, but I sure feel like a champion right now and I also feel like I'm not going to be very slow nor easy to beat if the boys are not running at top speed (Shit - even my writing is getting out of hand - if I run something like 2:03 in the next race I won't very feel smart nor happy.)

OK...
